Originally hailing from England, Gus moved from his hometown of Cheltenham, UK to Australia in 2018. He spent his initial years in Australia traveling around, working on farms and doing odd jobs to get by, as most travelers do when they get to this beautiful country! 

Since moving to Brisbane in 2019, Gus has had past experience as a Team Leader for a Garden/Landscaping company based in Darra, which has given Gus a keen eye for gardens and what can be done to improve them. 

He has also more recently come from the construction industry, where he worked for 2 years as a Supervisor and Project Manager for an interstate Tier 1 Demolitions company. Gus knows what a hard day on the tools is like, especially in the Queensland summer heat! Gus' largest project in this industry was as co-project manager on the Sydney Metro, where his company was assisting in the internal demolition of 14 CBD office blocks, where he was at the front of a team of 30 demolition technicians. He also worked on Queensland's largest ever building project, Queens Wharf in Brisbane.

 

Gus' career in the property and real estate industry started back in the UK, where Gus worked as a Property Manager, managing a local portfolio of around 200+ leasehold properties. This role in property management gave Gus his leg-up into the industry and during his 4 years in property management he developed skills in client management, hosting annual shareholder meetings, property budgeting, expenditure and cyclical maintenance.

Gus loves the diversity the real estate industry brings into his life, having so many opportunities to meet, connect and bond with people which is ultimately what makes Gus tick!

 

Gus is now firmly settled in Brisbane, living with his partner, Isobel, as they continue their journey through life together. In his free time he is a keen cyclist, mostly mountain biking along with some road riding, having competed in his first crit race last year, which he says was scarier than first thought! He has also recently taken up surfing, living the true Aussie lifestyle!

He is a hard-working dedicated individual with a proven track record in multiple industries.
